i just read this book and although it's heartfelt and somewhat interesting, i would not rank it very high. i had trouble getting through it, in part because the writing does not flow smoothly and in part because it is predictable and a very boy-centric story. the story does not move that quickly and i don't think it would grab most students' attention. furthermore, the 'lessons' learned are obvious and not particularly enlightening. i would not recommend this for the campus reading program/
